Parent Involvement

At our private school in Daytona Beach, we strongly encourage and value parental engagement, fostering a collaborative environment between educators and families. We wholeheartedly welcome and appreciate parents' active participation in our school community.

Parent Teacher Organization

A parent teacher organization (PTO) consists of parents, teachers, volunteers, and school staff. At ZamZam Knowledge Academy, the PTO's mission is to promote open communication and understanding between parents and staff. These efforts serve to enhance and maximize the education of every child. PTO sponsors assistance to teachers in the classroom setting, holds fundraisers for supplemental educational materials and experiences, supports school and family social interaction, and provides a non-biased forum for sharing information on issues that impact the children.

“Being a part of the ZamZam Academy PTO has been an enriching experience. This community supports the school and children as well as fosters a sense of belonging and empowerment between parents. I've found it to be an invaluable way to contribute positively to my child's educational journey while building lasting connections with other parents and staff”

Parent support at home

Students whose families actively participate in their education tend to achieve better academic outcomes, with higher grades and test scores. They're more likely to graduate from both high school and college, cultivate self-confidence and motivation in their academic pursuits, and exhibit improved social skills and classroom behavior.

Recommendation from Mrs. Zarine, our English and Language Arts Teacher for 3rd - 5th grade

“Prioritize learning at home by establishing consistent routines for homework completion, independent reading, ample sleep, and offering support when needed. Engage in discussions about school activities and progress. Read together daily for at least 10–20 minutes, setting a reading example by dedicating more time as a family or individually.”
